2009 Kona Smoke bicycle signed by ROCK LEGEND, BICYCLE ENTHUSIAST & TALKING HEADS FRONTMAN DAVID BYRNE for SALE! Heres the story. David Byrne comes to Detroit for a huge bike tour we do here in Detroit called the Tour DeTroit. When he gets here to write is blog he doesn’t have a bike to ride. Well a friend of mine owns a bicycle shop and when David was unable to obtain a rental bike from them due to the fact that they were sold out they called me. I was shooting the video that year for the Tour and I wasn’t riding and I happened to have a bike that was basically brand new that was in David’s size. I was honored to loan one of my idols my bike. When I ran into David on the tour route he had removed all my spoke cards. This kinda bothered me seeing as how I had loaned him my bike but nonetheless I knew he’d replace them before returning my bike. Wrong! When I got my bike back my cards were still gone. When I contacted all the proper parties about obtaining them I was told that David had thrown them away. What? Excuse me. Needless to say I was offered a signed copy of his book to replace my memories and trophies. Well that doesn’t work for me so my loss is your gain. The bike is in 100% working condition. It has an autograph on the downtube that says, “Thanks Jason” signed David Byrne. Not only has the bike had a ton of upgrades but it has DAVID’S NAME ON IT!!!
